ADULT EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE study

This study group meets Sunday mornings from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. They are using "Feasting on the Word" curriculum which follows the lectionary each week of the church year. This allows the group to delve deeper into the scriptures used in worship each Sunday.

wednesday evening adult study

This group meets each Wednesday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the home of Joe Pat & Patti Nance. They are reading and having discussions on the book "Love God, Love Everybody (Following Jesus in Our Divided World)" by Rev. Dr. Leon Bloder.

Rev. Dr. Bloder has this to say about the book: "This book is the story of how the simple phrase, Love God, Love everybody--drawn directly from Matthew's Gospel--became, for me, both a sign and symbol of God's infinite grace and inclusive love.  It's also the story of how the very words of Jesus still have the power to heal the sharp divisions between ourselves and others---if we are brave enough to embrace them." Come join the group for lively discussion and learning. Everyone is welcome.
